Samuel SENGNWI ERIC Foundation Begins Free Educational Materials Distribution in Jalingo
The Samuel SENGNWI ERIC Foundation has commenced the distribution of free educational materials to children, with Global Orphanage, Mile Six, Jalingo, among the first beneficiaries of the initiative.
The exercise, according to the Foundation, is part of its efforts to support underprivileged children and complement the free education policy of the Taraba State Government under Governor Agbu Kefas.
The Foundation, which began its humanitarian activities in 2021, has over the years supported vulnerable members of society, including orphans, widows and other less privileged persons.
Speaking on the initiative, the Foundation said it decided to expand its intervention in the education sector this year by reaching out to schoolchildren with essential learning materials such as exercise books, pens and pencils.
The Foundation explained that the initiative is aimed at reducing some of the educational burdens faced by children from disadvantaged backgrounds and helping them remain focused on their studies.
The distribution exercise is expected to extend to more schools and communities across Jalingo and beyond, as the Foundation continues its humanitarian activities.
The Samuel SENGNWI ERIC Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to touching lives, supporting vulnerable communities and contributing to the development of education in Taraba State.
The initiative underscores the importance of partnerships between government, non governmental organisations and individuals in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and build a better future.
