Taraba State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas, on Thursday held a follow-up meeting with the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, at the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja to strengthen collaboration on security in the state.
The meeting focused on ongoing efforts to tackle insecurity, enhance military presence, and improve operational support for troops deployed in Taraba. Governor Kefas, a retired army colonel, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing logistical and welfare support to the Nigerian Army.
Lieutenant General Shaibu assured the governor of the Army’s continued resolve to support civil authorities in maintaining peace and protecting lives and property across the state.
Both sides pledged to sustain close civil-military cooperation for improved security outcomes in Taraba.
