2027: NO VACANCY IN TY DANJUMA HOUSE — PROJECT27 COORDINATOR TELLS OPPOSITION
Says Kefas remains “landlord” of Taraba politics as governorship campaigns begin
As governorship campaign activities officially commence, the Taraba State Coordinator of Project27, Jimkuta Emmanuel, has declared that Governor Agbu Kefas remains firmly in control of the state’s political landscape, insisting that there is “no vacancy” in TY Danjuma House.
Emmanuel, in a statement marking the commencement of campaign activities, said opposition parties and their candidates should prepare for what he described as a difficult contest against the incumbent governor.
According to him, Governor Kefas has consolidated his political base and remains the candidate to beat in the 2027 governorship election.
“As governorship campaign activities start today, the opposition should know that there is no vacancy in TY Danjuma House. Governor Agbu Kefas remains the landlord in Taraba State,” Emmanuel said.
The Project27 coordinator said supporters of the governor would use the campaign period to highlight what they consider the achievements of the Kefas administration and make the case for continuity beyond 2027.
He argued that the election would ultimately be decided by Taraba voters based on the performance, programmes and competing promises of the various candidates.
The declaration comes as political parties intensify preparations for what is expected to be a fiercely contested governorship election, with opposition candidates also expected to challenge the administration on governance, infrastructure, economic development and other issues affecting the state.
While Emmanuel expressed confidence in the governor’s chances, the coming campaign period is expected to give all parties an opportunity to present their records, manifestos and alternative visions before the electorate.
Project27 is one of the political support groups promoting the re-election of Governor Kefas ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
