HON. ANAS MUHAMMED: I’M CONTESTING TO GIVE TARABA PURPOSEFUL LEADERSHIP AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
The Governorship Candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), Hon. Anas Muhammed, has described his 2027 governorship ambition as a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to the development of Taraba State.
Speaking on the SUM TV Morning Show, Hon. Anas said his decision to contest the governorship election is driven by his desire to provide purposeful leadership and introduce a different approach to governance that will promote the growth and development of the state.
He promised that, if elected, his administration would do things differently, with emphasis on policies and programmes capable of producing sustainable development and improving the quality of life of the people of Taraba.
The AA governorship candidate, who disclosed that he previously served as the Taraba State Chairman of the Action Alliance, said his experience in politics and leadership has equipped him with valuable knowledge that would help him provide effective leadership and transform the state.
Hon. Anas identified education and healthcare as some of the key areas that would receive priority under his administration, promising to strengthen the sectors and establish development initiatives capable of standing the test of time.
He also expressed concern over what he described as the current decay of infrastructure across the state, particularly in the health sector.
According to him, the condition of some healthcare facilities in Taraba is unacceptable and requires urgent attention through deliberate investment, proper maintenance and sustainable planning.
Hon. Anas Muhammed said his vision is to build a Taraba where development is not only achieved but sustained for generations to come, stressing that the state deserves leadership that is committed, purposeful and focused on results.
