Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has been honoured with the Inclusive Development and Social Integration Award by Blueprint Newspaper in recognition of his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, social development and equitable access to opportunities across the state.
The prestigious award was presented on Tuesday at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Centre, Abuja, during a high-profile ceremony attended by prominent Nigerians, including Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal; former Zamfara State Governor, Abdul’aziz Yari; Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi; and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, among other distinguished award recipients and guests.
Governor Kefas, who was unable to attend the ceremony personally, was represented by the Taraba State Commissioner for Information and Reorientation, Hon. Zainab Usman Jalingo, ESQ.
Speaking on behalf of the Governor, the Commissioner expressed appreciation to the management of Blueprint Newspapers for recognising the Taraba State Government with the award.
She described the honour as a recognition not only of Governor Kefas’ leadership but also of the collective efforts of the people of Taraba State towards building a more inclusive, peaceful and united society.
According to her, the Kefas administration remains focused on expanding access to education, strengthening communities and ensuring that the dividends of development reach citizens across the state, irrespective of their background, status or location.
She further emphasised the importance of peace, trust and respect for the will of the people in sustaining democracy, assuring that Taraba State would continue to uphold these values.
The Commissioner noted that the recognition would further inspire the administration to intensify its efforts in promoting inclusive governance, social integration and equitable development across Taraba State.
The award adds to the growing recognition of the Kefas administration for its governance reforms, social development initiatives and people-oriented policies aimed at improving the lives of citizens across the state.
