Taraba 2027: APGA’s Danji Names Prof. Zemba Campaign DG, Signals Campaign Kick-Off
JALINGO — The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Taraba State, Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi, popularly known as Danji SS, has appointed Professor Ambrose Zemba as Director-General of his campaign organisation ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The appointment, announced as political activities gather momentum across Taraba State, signals a major step by the APGA candidate towards formally activating his campaign structure and strengthening preparations for the governorship contest.
Information on the appointment circulating on Friday identifies Zemba as the Director-General of the APGA Campaign Team for the 2027 general elections in Taraba State.
Danji SS has already emerged as APGA’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election, putting him among the major political figures positioning themselves for the race to Government House, Jalingo. His candidacy has also been reported by Nigerian election-tracking sources and national media.
The appointment of a campaign Director-General is expected to provide central coordination for the candidate’s political activities, including mobilisation, strategy, communication and the organisation of campaign structures across the state.
The latest move comes after reports earlier this month that Danji’s political organisation had branded about 100 campaign vehicles ahead of the campaign season, another indication of preparations by his camp for an extensive statewide campaign.
Danji is no stranger to APGA politics in Taraba. He previously represented the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives after winning elections on the APGA platform, giving him an established political history with the party.
