Court Fixes October 9 for Judgment in Diah, Galadima APC Ticket Battle
The Federal High Court in Abuja has reportedly fixed October 9, 2026, for judgment in the legal battle over the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives ticket for Gashaka, Kurmi and Sardauna Federal Constituency of Taraba State.
The case involves Rt. Hon. Peter Abel Diah and Prince Sanusi Mohammed Galadima, whose competing claims to the APC ticket have generated considerable political interest in the constituency.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik is expected to deliver judgment following proceedings in the dispute over who should legitimately fly the APC flag in the 2027 National Assembly election.
The controversy followed the APC’s primary election and subsequent internal review of candidates.
Galadima was initially associated with the ticket before the APC revised its National Assembly candidates’ list and forwarded Peter Abel Diah as his replacement for Gashaka/Kurmi/Sardauna. The substitution was part of changes affecting several National Assembly constituencies across the country following the party’s internal appeal process.
