JALINGO — The Chairman of Bali Local Government Council in Taraba State, Bala Habila Balasa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, promising to promote unity, peace, welfare and security among residents irrespective of their religious, cultural or ethnic differences.
Balasa made the commitment in a goodwill message to Muslim faithful across Taraba State in commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The council chairman said the occasion provided an opportunity for Muslims and other members of the society to reflect on the teachings and virtues of the Holy Prophet, particularly compassion, tolerance, peaceful coexistence and service to humanity.
He urged Muslim faithful in Bali Local Government Area to use the celebration to pray for continued peace, unity and progress in the council, Taraba State and Nigeria at large.
Balasa also encouraged residents to promote mutual respect and understanding, stressing that the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence remained essential to building a stable and prosperous community.
According to him, his administration would continue to implement programmes and policies aimed at improving the welfare and security of residents while ensuring that every community within the local government receives attention.
He assured residents that religious or cultural differences would not constitute a barrier to accessing government services or benefiting from development initiatives under his leadership.
Balasa further called on community leaders, religious leaders and residents to work together in strengthening peace and unity across Bali, noting that sustainable development could only be achieved in an atmosphere of security and cooperation.
He wished Muslim faithful a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Eid-el-Maulud celebration and called on them to continue praying for the leadership and progress of the country.
