BWACHA APPOINTS FORMER NTA BAUCHI GM, SULEIMAN AHMED, AS CAMPAIGN MEDIA DIRECTOR
The governorship campaign of Senator Emmanuel E. Bwacha has announced the appointment of Mallam Suleiman Ibrahim Ahmed as Director of Media and Publicity of the Senator Emmanuel E. Bwacha Campaign Council.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a press release dated September 10, 2026, signed by Joshua Yohanna Nafinji, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Senator Bwacha.
According to the statement, Ahmed’s appointment was based on his wealth of experience, professional competence and long years of service in journalism and the media industry.
Ahmed is described as a seasoned media professional and former General Manager of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, Bauchi. He also served as Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, North-East Zone, for six years, where the campaign said he contributed to the development of journalism in the region.
The appointment also comes with a restructuring of the campaign’s media team.

Alhaji Yakubu Gomna, who previously served as Director of Media, Publicity, Contact and Mobilisation, will now serve as Director of Contact and Mobilisation, while Ahmed takes responsibility for Media and Publicity.
Senator Bwacha congratulated Ahmed on his appointment and expressed confidence that his experience would strengthen the campaign’s communication strategy as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Taraba State.
The statement said the Senator looks forward to Ahmed’s contribution towards effectively communicating the campaign’s vision and agenda to the people of Taraba State.
The new appointments and restructuring take immediate effect.
