Burial Holds Wednesday in Wukari
The Bagya Royal Family of Wukari has announced the death of Ayoku Nyanivyon Shekarau Masa-Ibi, beloved wife of the late 24th Aku Uka, Dr. Shekarau Angyu Masa-Ibi, CON.
According to a statement signed by Manu Agyo Awudu, Head of the Bagya Royal Family, Ayoku passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
The deceased was described as a beloved mother and royal matriarch and a respected member of the Bagya Royal Family.
Her burial is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 23, at 10:00 a.m. at her residence, located between Shishi Carpenter and Doyas Computer in Wukari.
The family also announced that a condolence register has been opened at the Family Guest House, behind the Police Station, Wukari, where sympathisers, friends and well-wishers can pay their respects.
The Bagya Royal Family appealed to the public to keep the family in their prayers as they mourn the loss.
The statement prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul.
