Greenland University Management Pays Courtesy Visit to Medical Director Federal Medical Centre Jalingo
The management of Greenland University, Jalingo, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ojos Fayomi, has paid a courtesy visit to the Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre Jalingo, Dr. Aisha Shehu Adamu, to introduce the university’s management team and explore areas of collaboration between both institutions.
The Vice Chancellor said the university, being newly established, recognised the importance of building strong partnerships with key institutions and expressed the management’s interest in a mutually beneficial relationship with FMCJ.
Responding, the Medical Director FMCJ Dr. Aisha Shehu Adamu, expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the founder and management of Greenland University for establishing the institution. She noted that education and healthcare are key social responsibilities which require collective efforts because government cannot do it alone.
Dr Aisha also commended the university for introducing healthcare-related programmes, including Medical Laboratory Science and Public Health, and encouraged the institution to consider establishing a Medical College in the future.
