Jimkuta, has rolled out another massive empowerment programme for his constituents, with farmers and agricultural production taking centre stage in what is emerging as one of his major interventions since assuming office in the National Assembly.
The senator on Saturday, August 29, 2026, flagged off an Agricultural Mega Empowerment Programme targeting farmers across the five local government areas that make up Taraba South Senatorial District — Wukari, Ibi, Donga, Takum and Ussa.
The intervention brings agricultural machinery, equipment and farm inputs into focus as Jimkuta seeks to strengthen agricultural production and provide economic opportunities for constituents whose livelihoods depend largely on farming.

Reports from that exercise indicated that the items distributed included about 70 vehicles, 40 tricycle pickups, 150 motorcycles, 100 sewing machines and 40 industrial sewing machines.
Other items reportedly included car-washing machines, irrigation pumping machines and grinding machines.
The intervention was valued in reports at more than ₦2 billion.
Beneficiaries were drawn from different sections of the constituency, including youths, women, artisans, farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs.
The philosophy behind such empowerment, according to the senator’s political camp, has been to provide constituents with productive assets rather than limit interventions to temporary financial assistance.
