2027: APC Appoints Former Deputy Speaker Nguroje Deputy Director of Parliamentary Mobilisation
Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Babangida S.M. Nguroje, OFR, CON, has been appointed Deputy Director of Parliamentary Mobilisation of the 2027 All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council.
Nguroje’s name appears on the membership list of the campaign council as Deputy Director of Parliamentary Mobilisation, working within the parliamentary mobilisation structure of the APC presidential campaign.
The appointment places the former federal lawmaker among senior political figures expected to mobilise support within the country’s legislative and political circles as the ruling party intensifies preparations for the 2027 general election.
The Parliamentary Mobilisation Directorate is headed by former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole, as Director, while Nguroje serves as Deputy Director. Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, is also listed as Secretary of Parliamentary Mobilisation.
Nguroje, a prominent political figure from Taraba State, served as Deputy Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives and has remained active in national and Taraba politics.
His inclusion in the presidential campaign structure is expected to give him a significant role in building political support and strengthening engagement with serving and former lawmakers and other stakeholders ahead of the election.
Supporters of the former Deputy Speaker have described the appointment as well deserved, expressing confidence in his ability to contribute to the mobilisation efforts of the APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 campaign.
They congratulated Nguroje on the appointment and wished him success in his new national political assignment.
The appointment comes as the APC begins assembling its campaign machinery across different sectors and constituencies ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
For Taraba State, Nguroje’s appointment also increases the representation of prominent political figures from the state within the APC’s national campaign structure.
