2027: ‘We Will Deliver Lau to Sarah Bulus’ — Lau Youths Declare
ABBARE: A group of youths and supporters of Queen Hon. Sarah Bulus in Lau Local Government Area has declared its readiness to mobilise grassroots support for her ahead of the 2027 political contest, saying her record of community interventions has already demonstrated the kind of leadership they want for Lau.
Speaking in Abbare, the supporters said their commitment to Sarah Bulus goes beyond political slogans, arguing that she has been touching lives across Lau even without holding an elective or appointive political office.
Their message was emphatic: “We will deliver Lau to Sarah Bulus, In Sha Allah.”
According to the youths, Sarah Bulus has distinguished herself through empowerment, educational support, humanitarian assistance and youth development initiatives targeted at residents of Lau Constituency.
They described her as a “talk-and-do woman” whose activities, they said, have provided practical assistance to women, youths, students and families.
Among the interventions highlighted by the supporters was an empowerment programme through which beneficiaries received sewing machines, grinding machines, POS machines and start-up capital to enable them establish or strengthen small businesses and become economically self-reliant.
They also pointed to the distribution of relief materials, including rice, clothing and other items to women and young people, particularly those requiring assistance.
In the area of youth development, the supporters said Sarah Bulus has organised and supported football competitions across Lau Constituency, describing sports as an important instrument for promoting unity, discovering talent and keeping young people positively engaged.
Education, they added, has also remained an important part of her interventions.
According to the group, Sarah Bulus has sponsored students to sit for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination and provided scholarship support to some students from Lau Constituency.
The youths said these interventions have earned her the nickname “Madam Project of Lau,” which they said reflects their perception of her commitment to community development.

The supporters said they would take their mobilisation beyond Abbare and engage communities across Lau, maintaining that their campaign would be based on what they described as Sarah Bulus’ record of service and accessibility to ordinary people.
They nevertheless called for peaceful political engagement ahead of 2027 and urged supporters of all aspirants to avoid violence, intimidation and inflammatory rhetoric.
They particularly wished aspirants contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) success and urged political actors to allow the people to exercise their democratic choices freely.
The group also appealed to residents of Lau to assess aspirants on their records, capacity, accessibility and commitment to community development rather than relying solely on political promises.
For the supporters in Abbare, however, their choice is already clear.
“She is our Madam Project. She has shown us what she can do even without political office. Give Sarah Bulus the opportunity, and we believe Lau will be transformed,” they declared.
