2027: APC Support Group Opens Campaign Office, Deploys Vehicles for Grassroots Mobilisation in Taraba
Political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections have continued to gather momentum in Taraba State as an All Progressives Congress (APC) support group inaugurated a campaign office and deployed operational vehicles to strengthen grassroots mobilisation across the state.
The group, Kefas/Tinubu 2027 Support Network (KSN), formally inaugurated the office in Jalingo as part of preparations to mobilise support for the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas.
Convener of the network, Hon. Justin Aondoasee Tyopuusu, said the initiative was designed to establish an effective grassroots political structure capable of reaching voters across Taraba State.
According to him, the network plans to expand its operations beyond the state headquarters to the three senatorial districts, all 16 local government areas, wards and polling units.
Tyopuusu said the group’s decision to support the two APC leaders was informed by what members described as their achievements in office, particularly efforts towards youth inclusion in governance and the creation of opportunities for young Nigerians.
He said the group believes the administrations’ efforts to improve the economy at the federal and state levels deserve continued support.
Tyopuusu also commended Architect Benjamin Gani for supporting the network with a campaign office and two operational vehicles.
According to the convener, the office will serve as a coordinating centre where members will meet and develop strategies for their mobilisation activities, while the vehicles will support movement and outreach across the state.
The development comes as political parties, aspirants and support groups intensify preparations ahead of the 2027 elections in Taraba, with grassroots structures increasingly becoming a major focus of political mobilisation.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Kefas at the inauguration, the governor’s Special Adviser on Political Matters, Prof. Josiah Sabo Kente, commended the network for its mobilisation efforts.
Kente assured members that the state administration would continue to pursue programmes targeted at young people and embrace innovative ideas capable of accelerating Taraba’s development.
With the inauguration of the office and deployment of the vehicles, the support network says it will now intensify efforts to establish its presence across the senatorial districts, local governments, wards and polling units as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather pace.
