TSU School of Basic Studies Records 93% IJMB Pass Rate

The School of Basic Studies, Taraba State University, Jalingo (SBS-TSU), has recorded an impressive 93 per cent pass rate in the latest Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) examination, marking a significant milestone in the School’s academic performance.
The achievement was disclosed during a visit to the School by the Vice-Chancellor of Taraba State University, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, who was accompanied by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Reuben Jonathan, and other members of the University management.
Welcoming the Vice-Chancellor and his delegation, the Director of the School of Basic Studies, Dr. Auwal Abubakar Chul, expressed appreciation to the University management for its continued support and encouragement.
Dr. Chul said the School had recorded significant progress in academic performance, staff cooperation and student enrolment.
According to him, the latest IJMB results showed that 93 per cent of the students passed the examination, a performance he attributed to the dedication of staff, discipline of the students and the enabling academic environment provided by the University management.
Responding, Prof. Bako commended the Director, staff and students of the School for the impressive performance.
He reaffirmed the University management’s commitment to sustaining academic excellence and providing the necessary support to enable the School of Basic Studies to continue strengthening its performance.
The Vice-Chancellor also urged the students not to relent in their studies, describing the result as an encouragement to work harder and aim for even greater academic achievements.
